Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question: How many working days will we intern in total?

Answer: In order to graduate, a total of 60 working days of internship is mandatory as 30 working days for EE3000 and 30 working days for EE4000.

Question: We worked together on the same project with my friend at the company/school. Can we write our internship report jointly?

Answer: No, jointly written internship reports will not be accepted. Reports must be written individually.

Question: During my internship, I could not attend some days/days. What will happen?

Answer: The internship continuation process is entirely the relationship between the student and the employer. There is nothing the commission can improve.

Question: Can I do an internship where I have done an internship before?

Answer: If it is not an R&D company, it definitely cannot be done. All stages of the internship process are your responsibility. R&D information can be obtained from the company.

Question: How and when do I know that my internship has been recorded in the system?

Answer: Your internship will be entered into the system within 2 weeks after you submit ALL your internship documents. If a summer internship completes a minimum of 30 working days, you will see it on your transcript as EE3000 for the first internship. Internships that do not meet this requirement are definitely recorded in the system, but do not appear on the transcript.

Question: I did an internship in 3 different places during one summer. I did 55 work-days in total. Will my next internship be 5 work-days?

Answer: No. A maximum of 40 working days of internship is accepted during one summer term. A minimum of 20 working days of internship is accepted. For example, you have an internship gap of 12 working days. However, internship application documents for a minimum of 20 working days are accepted.

Question: I started my internship in Company A. But I got a response from another company B that I wanted. Can I change my internship?

Answer: No.

Question: The relevant company does not sign or approve the documents stating "wage to be paid" to the intern. What should I do?

Answer: This is a situation known to the Dean's Office. Relevant documents may be delivered incompletely.

Question: At the end of the internship, I asked you via e-mail to find out if you came to follow up on documents, but I did not receive an answer.

Answer: Request a "read report" for your emails from the settings section. And ask these questions to your relevant employer.

Question: I sent you my internship documents by e-mail. But my insurance application was not made when I requested.

Answer: For the internship application process, you must send your complete documents 10 business days in advance. All other processes are the responsibility of the student.

Question: I sent my internship documents yesterday. My internship starts tomorrow. Why was no insurance attempt made?

Answer: Because it was not sent completely before 10 business days. Such an expectation is wrong.

Question: I want to extend my internship. What should I do?

Answer: Before the end of the internship, you must write a petition with your student information and internship extension date information and submit it to the secretariat.

Question: My employer covers my insurance. What processes should I follow in this case?

Answer: You must prepare the Internship Petition, Workplace Internship Acceptance Form, and Compulsory Internship Application Form.

Question: I found an internship abroad. What should I do?

Answer: You must prepare the Internship Petition, Workplace Internship Acceptance Form, and Compulsory Internship Application Form. Foreign companies provide their own insurances.
